ADMIT/DISCHARGE CLERK - OCH MEDICAL ASSOCIATES - Full Time 

High school graduate or equivalent. Customer Service training a plus. Prefer three-year minimum experience in healthcare related field. Responsible for greeting patients, processing the patients’ insurance and physician orders and scheduling appointments.  Responsible for discharging patients at the completion of their visit, as well as keying charges, collecting co-payments and posting payments.  Demonstrate a dedication to process improvement initiatives that result in the achievement of best practice solutions committed to the optimization of net revenues. ATHLETIC TRAINER - SPORTS MEDICINE - 2 Full Time

Must have a current valid Athletic Trainer license issued by the Mississippi State Board of Health.  Will provide athletic training coverage to area schools as assigned; markets the Sports Medicine services of OCH Regional Medical Center, performs indicated treatments on injured athletes consistent with licensure guidelines; and will perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Director of Rehabilitation Services. CHIEF NURSING OFFICER – NURSING- Full Time

CNO is accountable for setting and maintaining the standards for the practice of nursing at OCH Regional Medical Center and responsible for the supervision of approximately 225 nursing personnel.  Must communicate and work effectively within the department of nursing services and with medical staff and all other hospital departments.  Reports to the chief executive officer.  A current MS nursing license without restrictions and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing along with a master’s degree in nursing or another postgraduate health science degree is required. A minimum of 10 years leadership and management experience in nursing and hospital operations is preferred. (9/29/20)

CHILDCARE ASSISTANT – WELLNESS CONNECTION –  Part Time

Will work in the licensed childcare center in the Wellness Connection. Will work to achieve the age appropriate and developmental needs of the young child and family. Prefer training in child development, child life, early childhood education or elementary education with experience caring for children. Shifts will vary. (4/2/21)

CLINIC TECH – TRANSFUSION CLINIC – Part Time

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Nursing Assistance Certification preferred. Good interpersonal skills are a must. CPR Certification required. Will assist with vital signs, patient transportation and needs as well as clerical needs.  Computer skills recommended. (3/15/21)

CLINICAL MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT - OCH ORTHOPEDIC CLINIC - Full Time

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Medical office experience or other clinical experience is preferred. Computer proficient and knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology preferred. Duties will include, but are not limited to, taking and recording routine elements of systematic review, elements of patient’s history, elements of present illness, taking vital signs of the patients, which include weight and measurements, temperature, pulse rate and blood pressure. Applicant will place the patient in the examination room and prepare patient for appropriate examination, and the applicant will assist physician with the treatment of the patient in the examination room which may include all aspects of casting, suture/staple removal, first aid treatment, and dressing change. DIRECTOR - RESPIRATORY SERVICES - Full Time

Responsible for overseeing the department operations of respiratory therapy, neurodiagnostics, center for sleep medicine, pulmonary wellness, and cardio-pulmonary diagnostics in addition to the arterial blood gas laboratory within OCH.  Must be familiar with federal and state regulations for operation of these departments as well as being the primary catalyst for accreditation of these services.  Works closely with administration in creating and monitoring compliance with department budgets.  Provides input for strategic initiative planning for the departments.  Reports to Chief Operations Officer.  Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a registered respiratory therapist, with at least two (2) of those in a supervisory position and/or Bachelor's degree in a College of Science or College of Business. FITNESS ASSOCIATE - WELLNESS CENTER - Part time

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be confident, outgoing and a self-starter. Should be competent in exercise physiology, nutrition and fitness management. Must be CPR certified. Preference given to individuals with experience in fitness assessment and orientation. Hours will vary; some weekend work required. (4/23/21)

GOVERNMENT ANALYST – REVENUE MANAGEMENT – Full Time

An Associate degree in Business/Finance, Accounting, Management or HIM is required.  A degree or certificate in coding may be substituted. Experience with PC’s, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and database software applications is desired.   Supports all activities relating to federal and state funded reimbursement to ensure that the hospital is in compliance with federal regulations and that reimbursement is both timely and accurate.  Works with the CDM Analyst in the identification of process improvement initiatives related to the coding and charging of hospital services.  Will serve as a liaison to clinical department directors and managers, HIM coding resources, information technology, PFS, and CDM management.  Will assist with projects or tasks as assigned by Administrator and/or Director.   8:00 am – 5:00 pm (12/9/20)

INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE – INSURANCE/TECHNICAL BILLING – 1 Full Time

Will perform follow-up on amounts due from third-party payers to ensure that payments are prompt and benefits are paid correctly. Will identify problems causing payment delays and report to insurance supervisor. Three years of experience in a healthcare related field preferred. Computer experience desired, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Understanding of reimbursement systems, coding strategies, DRG’s, DNV standards, and HIPAA preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Three year minimum experience in healthcare related field preferred.  Needs an understanding of reimbursement systems, coding strategies, DRG’s,  DNV standards and HIPAA.  A thorough knowledge of follow-up procedures for all major carriers and intermediaries is also required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Mississippi Board of Nursing. Current knowledge and skills appropriate for serving pediatric to geriatric patients.  Current CPR certification or 6 months to obtain. MAINTENANCE I/ELECTRICAL - PLANT OPERATIONS - Full time

High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Four years experience as a licensed journey-level electrician in commercial or industry setting preferred.  Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on hospital's lighting, alarm systems and electrical equipment.  Hours will vary and some weekend work required. PATIENT ACCESS REP – ADMISSIONS –  1 Part Time 

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a multi-tasker with have excellent typing, clerical, and computer skills.  Must enjoy meeting the public and exhibit excellent customer service.  Must be comfortable with providing financial counseling to patients.  Previous experience with insurance is desirable.  Duties will include both inpatient and outpatient registration in the Outpatient department.  Prefer applicant with previous medical office or hospital experience.  Located in the Emergency Department with varying shifts. PAYROLL CLERK - ACCOUNTING - Full Time

Duties will include but not limited to: responsible for keying missing punches, leave time, call pay and all other pay with accuracy. Will be responsible for printing and distributing time card reports. Will be responsible for payroll distribution and reconciliation of benefit invoices, wage verifications and garnishment worksheets. Applicant should be computer literate. Should be able to functions with little supervision and complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Good communication and past payroll experience preferred. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. PRE-CERT COORDINATOR – OCH CENTER FOR PAIN – Full Time

Must have excellent typing and clerical skills.  Computer experience preferred. Duties will include pre-certifying procedures and/or verifying insurance eligibility and coverage.   Will update and maintain all patient records including filing as well as general office duties.  Possible interaction with patients to confirm appointments.  Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1/14/21)

RN – AMBULATORY SURGERY –   2 Full Time

Must be RN with current unrestricted MS license. CPR certification is required. ACLS  and PALS certification required but may be obtained after employment. Applicant should be willing to work flexible hours. (10/19/20, 2/5/21)

RN – CARDIAC REHAB – 2 PRN

Registered nurse with an active, unrestricted nursing license.  BLS and ACLS certifications are required but may be obtained within 6 months of employment.  Cardiac Nursing experience is preferred.  Applicant must be familiar with and able to identify cardiac rhythms.  He/she will be responsible for assessing patients, supervising patients during exercise, watching the telemetry monitor, communicating with physicians, and assisting with other department operations.  Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 0630-1430.  Differing hours may be required on occasion. RN – ICU – Full-Time

RN – NURSING ADMINISTRATION – FLOAT POOL NURSE- PRN

Must be high school graduate or equivalent.  CPR certification required and can be obtained upon employment.  Must have good communication skills and be able to meet the following strength requirements in a one time lift using conventional free weights: 1) Bench press 185 lbs.  2) Parallel squat 200 lbs.  3) Single arm curl 40 lbs both right and left arms.  Will be required to assist patients to/from cars, in/out of bed, etc.  Must be able to perform occasional heavy lifting of up to 100-150 lbs. TEMPERATURE SCREENER – SCREENING STATION – Full time

Must be high school graduate or equivalent.  Assist in taking patient, visitor, and employee temperatures.  Will be having patients and visitors answer COVID-19 questions surrounding symptoms and travel.  Must be flexible/able to work nights and weekends. (10/14/20)
