Remembering Dr. Jonathan Chad Williams

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Chad Williams, one of our most beloved and respected physicians. Dr. Williams was 43 years old. He is survived by his three beautiful children and his loving parents, Bonnie and Joel Williams. Dr. Williams has been a staple in this community and was loved and well respected by all who came in contact with him. He served the community with unwavering dedication and compassion for nearly a decade at OCH Regional Medical Center.

On the afternoon of April 5th, Dr. Williams passed away unexpectedly. As we come together to mourn this tragic loss, we extend our deepest sympathies to Dr. William’s family, friends, patients, and colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

During his tenure at OCH, Dr. Williams consistently exemplified the values of integrity, excellence, and selflessness. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

James Jackson, CEO of OCH expressed his most sincere condolences, “Dr. Williams was soft spoken, kind, and one of the hardest working physician’s I had ever met.” Jackson continued, “He had a well- established practice due to many years of hard work and the excellent treatment and service he gave to his patients.”

A close associate of Dr. Williams, Lynn Sizemore, fondly recalls the kind of person he was, “He was extremely compassionate, down to earth, and cared deeply about his patients.” She continued, “And his kids—they were his entire world.”

As an orthopedic surgeon specializing in musculoskeletal care and advanced surgical techniques, Dr. Williams's impact extended beyond Starkville to the Greater Triangle Region. He was a distinguished member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, renowned for his expertise in anterior hip reconstruction surgery, a skill that set him apart as a pioneer in his field.

The loss of Dr. Williams will be felt long after he is gone. However, his legacy and memory will live on in the lives he touched, the patients he healed, and the kindness and love he shared. In this time of mourning, we again offer our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones, and we ask for privacy as they navigate this difficult period of grief.
