Mississippi State Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, LEARFIELD’s Bulldog Sports Properties, announced Wednesday that OCH Regional Medical Center has elevated its Bulldogs’ commitment through a new multi-year relationship.
Effective immediately, OCH Regional Medical Center will be known as the “Official Women’s Healthcare Provider of Mississippi State Athletics.” This marks the first time a Bulldog corporate partner has assumed this designation.
Additionally, OCH Regional Medical Center will have significant involvement with Mississippi State’s Think Pink annual campaigns across its volleyball, soccer, football and women’s basketball programs. The county hospital also will be extremely integrated with annual Bulldog events – the Women’s Football Clinic, and the Diaper Derby and Baby Bulldogs – and is providing for the new mothers’ nursing stations currently accessible at Davis Wade Stadium.
“We are honored that Mississippi State Athletics recognizes our excellence in women’s healthcare and has partnered with us to promote healthy lifestyles within Starkville and our MSU family,” said OCH Regional Medical Center Administrator/CEO Jim Jackson. “This partnership highlights our wide range of services available to women and their families, not just student-athletes.”
“We’re proud to have OCH Regional Medical Center in our Bulldog corporate partner family,” said Ann Brett Gillespie Strickland, General Manager of Mississippi State Bulldog Sports Properties. “We are thrilled they’ve chosen to escalate their commitment with us as a way they can continue their mission to give back into the community they serve. We have some great things planned together in this new term, and we’re looking forward to sharing those details with our fans soon.”
Bulldog Sports Properties, the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder and locally based LEARFIELD team, manages the OCH Regional Medical Center relationship on behalf of the athletics department. As part of the overall rights relationship, Bulldog Sports Properties works with local, regional and national brands looking to align with Mississippi State.
Located in Starkville, OCH Regional Medical Center is a county-owned facility serving Oktibbeha and the surrounding six counties. The hospital operates 12 clinics and boasts a medical staff of more than 60 physicians representing 20 specialties including breast health, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology and orthopedics.
