CHIEF NURSING OFFICER – NURSING- Full Time

CNO is accountable for setting and maintaining the standards for the practice of nursing at OCH Regional Medical Center and responsible for the supervision of approximately 225 nursing personnel.  Must communicate and work effectively within the department of nursing services and with medical staff and all other hospital departments.  Reports to the chief executive officer.  A current MS nursing license without restrictions and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing along with a master’s degree in nursing or another postgraduate health science degree is required. A minimum of 10 years leadership and management experience in nursing and hospital operations is preferred. (9/29/20)

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – BUSINESS OFFICE – Part Time

Must have knowledge of Insurance filing and payment process, co-pays and deductibles. Proficient in Excel and Word. Must have excellent communications skills and a pleasant, easy to understand speaking voice. Applicant must be able to work independently and have good math skills. Will be responsible for posting and balancing cash drawer. DIRECTOR OF YOUTH PROGRAMS – WELLNESS CONNECTION – Part Time

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development or related field; or two-year associate degree and two years experience as a caregiver; or high school degree and four years experience as a childcare giver. Will work in the licensed childcare center in the Wellness Connection ensuring facility compliance with the Child Care License requirements of MS State Dept of Health.  Will develop programming to meet the age appropriate and developmental needs of the young child and family.  Prefer training in child development, child life, early childhood education or elementary education with experience caring for children.  Shifts will vary. HOUSE MANAGER – NURSING ADMINISTRATION- Full Time

Must be a registered nurse with Mississippi nursing license. The House Manger is responsible for coordinating nursing clinical activities on his/her shift of duty. House manager duties include, but not limited to, maintaining adequate daily staff coverage, determining emergency situations and responsibilities, and handling all patient and family concerns. Five years of RN experience is required. Management experience is strongly preferred. Will perform follow-up on amounts due from third-party payers to ensure that payments are prompt and benefits are paid correctly. Will identify problems causing payment delays and report to insurance supervisor. Three years of experience in a healthcare related field preferred. Computer experience desired, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Understanding of reimbursement systems, coding strategies, DRG’s, DNV standards, and HIPAA preferred. Three year minimum experience in healthcare related field preferred.  Needs an understanding of reimbursement systems, coding strategies, DRG’s,  DNV standards and HIPAA.  A thorough knowledge of follow-up procedures for all major carriers and intermediaries is also required. RN – CARDIAC REHAB – 1 PRN

Registered nurse with an active, unrestricted nursing license.  BLS and ACLS certifications are required but may be obtained within 6 months of employment.  Cardiac Nursing experience is preferred.  Applicant must be familiar with and able to identify cardiac rhythms.  He/she will be responsible for assessing patients, supervising patients during exercise, watching the telemetry monitor, communicating with physicians, and assisting with other department operations.  Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 0630-1430.  Differing hours may be required on occasion.
