Stork Support

These prepared childbirth classes provide helpful information about pre-natal care, relaxation techniques, labor and delivery, infant CPR, infant care, postpartum care and many other important aspects of childbirth. The course consists of four 6 p.m. Monday classes in the OCH Educational Facility. Certified childbirth educators lead the class, with special visits from healthcare professionals. Class fee is $70. Call (662) 615-3364 to enroll or for more information. * This one class is on a Tuesday night rather than a Monday night due to holiday.

Sodas for Siblings Class

This hour-long Saturday session at OCH helps prepare soon-to-be brothers and sisters for the new baby and begins at 2 p.m. Children tour the labor and delivery suite and nursery, and afterwards are treated to an ice cream party. Fee for the class, which includes a certificate and an "I'm a Big Brother" or "I'm a Big Sister" T-shirt, is $20 for one sibling and $15 for each additional one. The class is free to children whose parents are enrolled in the Stork Support class. Classes are held in the OCH Educational Facility. Call (662) 615-3364 to enroll or for more information.

Breast is Best

OCH's Breast is Best class is for expectant mothers who plan to or are considering breastfeeding. Instructed by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, the two-hour class meets Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. for four weeks at OCH in the Educational Facility. It addresses breastfeeding positions, breastfeeding problems/solutions, hints for working moms and much more. Fee for the course is $60; however, mothers enrolled in the Stork Support class receive a $10 discount. Grandparents are Great

This two-hour Saturday session brings grandparents up-to-date on the latest in infant care, including everything from nutrition and safety to educational play ideas. It also includes a tour of the hospital's labor and delivery, nursery and postpartum areas. The class is held one Saturday each quarter from   9-11 a.m. in the OCH Educational Facility.
